3D Level Design
For the second year module ‘3D Design for Games’ I designed a realistic room based on the student union bar, incorporating lighting, physics and life-like models such as tables, chairs and beer pumps to the environment.
I also added weaponry and computer controlled opponents to give the level a gaming atmosphere. The physics allowed the tables and chairs to be shot at opponents as well as hidden behind during gun battles.
A lighting rig was mounted to the ceiling which shone disco lights to the floor below. It could also be shot down to crush any unassuming AI underneath.
