Fisher Scientific UK
During my year placement at Fisher Scientific UK (2009-2010) I was given various projects related to website design and maintenance. Designs were produced in photoshop and evaluated over various meetings to change and tweak the ideas, eventually being implemented on the live site. I produced the ‘TechZone’, ‘Tectron’ and ‘Science World 2010′ sites, amongst others.
Alongside the creative aspects of web design I also delved into some of the database work. Using PHP I designed the ‘Supplier-Portal’ which used real time validation and encryption to store customers data from a registration form in a database, and call back for logging in and out.
