John Alexander Rowley.
computer specialist and online marketing professional.
“I believe I’m a hard-working young adult with strong self-motivational, communication and technical skills. Iv’e a genuine and dedicated interest in computing and technology, thriving to excel in the subject!
My good work ethic and professional attitude, developed in part from a year-long industrial placement helps me to work reliably, both independently and as part of a team to produce rational responses to real issues.
I like to think I’m a friendly, level headed and confident character with a good range of social and practical abilities…”
“What’s your name and where you from?”
Iv’e always held an interest in computing, ever since I remember looking for the coolest gadget on the market and messing around (for lack of a better phrase!) on the PC! Born and raised in the Midlands in 1989. I like to think of that as a good year, growing up with Friends (the TV program) as well as the Spice-Girls (don’t judge!) and Ant & Dec! Iv’e always maintained that family and friends (as in mates/buddies/pals, etc) are one of the most important things, and love socializing when the opportunity presents itself!
Education, Education, Education!
After doing well in GCSE’s and even better in A-Levels I took my first ‘giant leap’ into the ‘big wide world’ (please excuse all the common expressions!) and moved into halls of residence at Nottingham Trent University to study BSc(H) Software Engineering (basically computer science to those who don’t know). After achieving a great score in my first year I moved out of halls and into a house with some great mates.
Year two was spent doing very much the same; Studying & partying (in equal measures, of cause!).
Year 3 saw my introduction to ‘the real world’ with an industrial placement in Loughborough as an assistant website developer.
After moving into a second house with a different group of friends (the others graduated during my placement) I worked towards my final degree, including 25% business orientated modules, 33% worth of dissertation marks and just a ‘smidge’ of party-based antics!
I would go all out and tell you my overall degree result here, but I think you should do just a little more work to find out. Want to know more? Click HERE to read about my time at Nottingham Trent University or HERE to see my qualifications.
